And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:10
How do we see our audience? Are they in need of deliverance? Let's say that they are, and we are going to minister a message to help them. Let's also say that we minister many months along these lines. If our messages are truly helping deliver them, then at some point our message should advance to talking to men and women who are delivered and walking in victory. How can they see the victory if we keep talking to them like they need deliverance? What if we helped our audience see themselves victorious from day one? Instead of struggling to get victory, what if we showed them that they are already victorious in Christ? Ah, now we are on the fast track! Now, we can begin to encourage them as we would encourage Jesus. Encourage Jesus? That sounds crazy! No really, what if we saw Christians as literally "like Christ" as the name implies? Jesus didn't need delivered from anything. What if we encouraged people that they are complete in Christ like The Good Book says in Colossians 2:10? Jesus took away whatever you need delivered from and gave you His life that never needed delivered from anything. How do we see our audience?
